🚀 Lead story - How America Says ‘You Belong’

Honoring the Traditions of Others Is the American Way

  • Celebrate, don’t dominate: Our holidays are about joy, not control.

  • Fusion with flair: America adds flavor, literally.

  • Visibility counts: Today’s parades were yesterday’s taboos.

  • Everyone’s welcome: Our traditions grow when shared.

  • Cultural remix: The result isn’t perfect, but it’s uniquely ours.

“Victory” Means Something Else Here

Some countries this month are marking “victory” with military strength, flyovers, and forced unity. Here, we choose to spotlight a different kind of triumph - the survival and celebration of culture in the open. In America, traditions don’t have to be erased to be embraced. They can be reimagined, shared, and lit up with fireworks!

From St. Patrick’s Day green rivers to Diwali at the local library, American-style celebrations may be a little messy, a little commercialized - but at its heart, it’s open. Our latest blog reflects on how this openness makes space for the very people we serve.

⚡ News from the think tank

Confessions of a USCIS Officer

What you missed: A former USCIS officer pulls back the curtain on what really matters in EB-2 NIW cases - and what most applicants (and lawyers) still get wrong.

  • Insider insights: Real talk from someone who’s reviewed thousands of petitions.

  • RFEs decoded: What they really mean and how to avoid them.

  • Quality over volume: More citations do not equal more credibility.

  • Common pitfalls: Generic cover letters, vague impact claims, and bad framing.

  • Better prep = better odds: This is what smart immigration looks like.

Name: Title/Desc

 🌉 Background: Engineer / Director / CEO

👑 Goal: Relocate to be closer to family

⚡ Surprising Fact: Andrey survived regime collapse and still rose to lead

Why Standing Still Was Never an Option

From lab assistant to institute director. From engineer to company CEO. Andrey’s life has spanned eras of upheaval, from the collapse of the USSR to today's uncertain world. All the time, his resilience and leadership never faltered. His goals are simple - to live close to his children and grandchildren, to hug often, share moments, and be physically present with the people he loves most. Here are some words from Andrey:

“Two things were equally impossible for him: to stand still and to move without a purpose.”

- Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged

These words reflect my own life credo. Purposeful movement, even through adversity, has always helped me find meaning and strength.

I've lived through historic upheavals: the fall of the Soviet Union, fleeting democratic reforms, the rise of corruption and militarism. Each wave of change broke lives and foundations, but I found ways to rebuild.

In new cities and countries, I rose from lab assistant to institute director, from engineer to CEO. That journey was only possible with the love and support of my family. They were my anchor.

Equally vital were the thinkers and creators I met - people who never surrendered to chaos. From them, I learned to stay focused, to share energy, and to move toward meaningful goals.

My dream today is simple and bright:

To live near my children. To be close not just in heart, but in daily life. To share tea, holidays, and hugs.

To anyone facing doubt or fatigue, I say:

Don’t give up. Believe in yourself. Love your family. Cherish life.

There is always room for strength, love, and forward motion.

Did You Know? “Immigrants have founded 55% of America’s startup companies valued at $1 billion or more.” - National Foundation for American Policy, 2022 Report on Immigrant Entrepreneurs and Unicorns

That’s not just a lot of unicorns—it’s a wake-up call. Talent doesn’t have borders, and innovation shouldn't be fenced in either. 🧠✨

Until next time, we’ll do what we can to support that dream!
